4 things every HVAC technician should do during a maintenance visit
Let’s face it, we’re not all experts at every trade – and that’s why it can often be difficult to judge between a good and bad HVAC service technician.
Here at A1, we take our work very seriously. Because of this, we want to ensure that our customers are receiving the best care possible. That’s why we created this guide – to help you judge the quality of your maintenance appointment.
There are certain things that every HVAC technician should do during your service visit and you can always count on our staff to complete these tasks:
Answer your questions: We understand that not everybody is familiar with all HVAC systems and/or components so if you have any questions about why something isn’t working or why it needs to be replaced – don’t hesitate to ask. Our technicians always have the time to answer your questions.
Inspect your ductwork or lack thereof: Improperly sized ducts can cause many problems with your central system. Inspecting your ducts will allow the technician to make proper recommendations for the rest of your system.
Ductless systems don’t require any previous ductwork so they can be a more efficient option for homes that do not have ducts in place.
Make comfort recommendations: Making recommendations isn’t about upselling; it’s about keeping you comfortable in your home. If your technician encounters inefficiencies in your system, they should provide you with solutions that will help your system run more cost effectively and more comfortably.
Say “Thank You”: We understand that you chose to call us, not the other way around. We appreciate your business and we like to show it. We’ll always respect your home and your family and allow you to feel comfortable with us and your HVAC system.
We hold ourselves to a high standard and you should hold your HVAC technician to those same expectations. If you don’t think your current HVAC provider is meeting all of the requirements necessary, you can always call A1 for guaranteed quality.
